CHAKRA PURIFYING
The entire universe is made of energy, and your body is no exception. Our human body is scientifically proven to be 99% empty space. We are truly a force, not a mass.
Ancient cultures knew that all living things carried a life force within them. They called the centres of energy that spiral inside of us, the 7 chakras. Chakra is an old Sanskrit word that literally translates to wheel. This is because the life force, or prana, that moves inside of you is spinning and rotating. This spinning energy has 7 centres in your body, starting at the base of your spine and moving all the way up to the top of your head.
The chakras are centres of energy within each human being which comprise our personality on all levels. They relate to specific physical organs, nervous plexuses, endocrine glands, emotional responses, mental patterns and psychic experiences within each of us, as well as, if we go deep enough, opening us up to spiritual insight. They function in each moment of our lives and, taken together, they encompass and embrace the entire spectrum of human experience.
Although the chakras are functioning in all of us, they tend to be blocked and imbalanced. Unblocking, harmonising and energising them brings profound changes in our understanding, perception and behaviour. They then become vehicles of self discovery, enabling us to truly fulfil our lives. Through practice, we can awaken hidden dimensions of our embodied existence. Moreover, by awakening the “higher” chakras we start to realise our innate nature as Awareness; there is a quantum leap in our self-identity. This is why the chakras are so important in yoga and tantra.
Being energy patterns, the chakras do not have specific physical locations. However, for the sake of practice, in yoga and tantra, the chakras are given precise physical locations. I created a guided chakra balancing and purifying meditation according to my studies based on Chakra Shuddhi and Chakra Sadhana techniques. The meditation includes my chakra balancing aromatherapy blend, which can trigger and boost the energy flow of the Prana around the locations of each chakras.
In a healthy, balanced person, the 7 chakras provide exactly the right amount of energy to every part of your body, organs, mind and spirit. However, if one of your chakras is too open and spinning too quickly, or if it is too closed and moving slowly, your health will suffer.
